Paris Court of Appeal Rejects US$3.536 Billion Claim Against Uruguay

On 29 October, the Paris Court of Appeal upheld the favourable outcome for Uruguay in the Aratirí mining dispute, rejecting a US$3.536 billion compensation claim. Uruguay also became eligible to recover approximately US$4.5 million in legal costs, with an additional €300,000 awarded in court costs.
