State Bank Launches SMEConnect Digital Financing Portal

On 29 October, the State Bank of Pakistan announced SMEConnect, a centralised digital portal designed to connect small and medium-sized enterprises with banks and development finance institutions. From 1 November 2026, SME financing applications are to be submitted through the portal, which is intended to improve application tracking, transparency and access to financing. Banks, fintech providers and SMEs can explore opportunities in digital onboarding, secure integrations and financial data analytics.
